General Motors - To File up for Bankruptcy

The World famous General Motors has now faced the worst part of it.

It seems that GM management is now ready to file for Bankruptcy. The 100 year tradition of American automobile industry has now came into trouble.

Reuters say about this issue:

Since the start of the year, GM has been kept alive with U.S. government funding as a White House-appointed task force vetted plans for a sweeping reorganization that will be
undertaken with $50 billion in government financing.

By preparing to take a 60 percent stake in a reorganized GM, the Obama administration is gambling that the automaker can compete with the likes of Toyota Motor Corp after its debt is
cut by half and its labor costs are slashed under a new contract with the United Auto Workers union.

The governments of Canada and the province of Ontario agreed to provide another $9.5 billion to GM in a late addition to the plans for the bankruptcy that have been taking shape for
weeks, U.S. officials said.

GM plans to close 11 U.S. facilities and idle another three plants. It has not provided an updated target for job cuts but had been looking to cut 21,000 factory jobs from the 54,000 UAW
workers it now employs in the United States.

The UAW would have a 17.5 percent stake in the "new GM." The Canadian government would own 12 percent stake and GM bondholders would get 10 percent.

Lets expect a better tomorrow for the General Motors and what the US govt. going to do for the GM?

AS Obama is concentrated on Automobile industry more, hope he'll guide the GM to avoid Bankruptcy, i hope.

ICICI Pinches - IDBI Slashes: Deposit Rates

ICICI and IDBI has changed theirinterest rates recently.

ICICI had reduced the FD's interest rate for up to 90 days and 90-180 days as 4.5% and 5.5% respectively and for 270 days it has been increased to 7%.


IDBI also reduced its interest rates for the FD below 1100days from 8.75% to 7.75%

Hope it could allow people to invest in market rather than these simple figures of interest.

IPL 2009: Delhi Dare Devils won by 12 runs

In today's match Delhi Dare Devils won Deccan chargers by 12 runs.

It was a great struggle between the current leaders and the Deccan chargers who were in the third position.

Actually Deccan chargers was in a strong position towards victory until Symonds left the ground. Once he left DC were in a crucial situation and wickets fell down gradually.

Finally, Delhi Dare Devils conquered their First position more firmly.

Lets expect a better situation from next matches.

Today the election was completed in the Tamil Nadu state.

Two major parties DMK and ADMK was the major rivalries this time also.

DMK was supporting congress and ADMK was supporting BJP.

DMDK has also played its role well this time.

I expect ManMohan singh to come again since he is more experienced and a great expert in maintaining and driving India towards growth.

Whom ever wins lets expect that our India should be in the safe hands.

Intel fined 1.06 billion Euros

Intel corp. was fined with an record Anti-trust fine amount of $1.45 billion for the illegal rebates and other practices that were used by the company to squeeze its rival AMD.

The EU Executive said that Intel has paid money to the computer makers to postpone or cancel plans to launch products that used AMD chips.

The Order has been passed to Intel to stop its illegal activity.

Intel disagreed to this issue and has taken steps to appeal further on this fine.

Any how the AMD will not be benefited to the max by this action, since there are many issues within AMD. IT was a week ago when AMD(Advanced Micro Devices) Microprocessor and Graphics chip businesses were merged.

Also the Barcelona chip was delayed due to an technical defect in it.

So these issues make AMD still more struggling and the new innovations cannot be expected from AMD as it is in lack of resources.

Apple i-Pod Shuffle: 3rd Generation

Apple has introduced its revolutionary i-pod Shuffle (3rd generation) at the size of our thumb. It remembers us a thumb drive whose size is less than a AA size battery in appearance.

Apple has again innovated many things in this new Shuffle. The main feature is the "Voice Over", it supports around 14 Languages and we can hear the song name, composer name in the language's own slang. Cool Hun!!!

Also we can have the Voice over support for the play list name and the details of it.

The next feature is its size. Very very compact, such that only one button is on the player and remaining buttons are moved to the Headphones. The player button can be used to turn on and off the system.

The Head set keys allows functionality to increase and decrease volume and the third button to play the system. Double click on play button will shuffle the song.

The i pod shuffle will be best suited for hearing songs while jogging and Walking.

The major draw back is that it doesn't support third party head phones.

The shuffle is priced at $79 in US.

Population of Unemployed hits 8.9% in US

With the World's recession US stands as the top most affected country. The country is helpless in its job market. In April month alone 5,39,000 jobs were lost.

The April month result of 5.3Lacs is much less compared to its previous month results as shown in the figure.

The Jobs loss were 6.51Lacs in January month end, In February month end it was 6.63Lacs and in March end it reached 6.99Lacs.

It is expected that still more jobs will be lost before the economy over comes recession which is expected in the earlier 2010.

The America is surely going to head more than 10% unemployment if the situation prevails.

Lets pray for America to Overcome this bad time and be the best again to its old position.

Google, world's leader in Search Engine has not followed its own way in advertising. It has been said by the Authority that the Google Browser Chrome Ad is going to be broadcasted on TVs.

A 30-second clips with professionally created videos will be shown up. This Ad is also shared through the You Tube on the Late January and was viewed 2 million times.

The Video was created by Google Japan a few months back.

Even When the Google Chrome browser came up with a great expectation, it has not created a great impact on other browser's usage.

Toyota: Facing Critical Situation

Toyota Motor Corp.(Japan) posted that its revenue has been reduced to 21.9% in revenue. The reason explained was the significant decline in vehicle sales and strength in Japanese Yen.

In the recent months Japanese Yen had a rapid appreciation against the U.S Dollar and the Euro. Also the increase in price of raw materials joined to it which mad the Toyota to face a wider loss than it expected.

Toyota posted a loss of 447 billion yen in the Fiscal year ended Mar 31st, compared to its previous record of 1.72 trillion yen profit and a net revenue of 26.29 trillion yen.

As a result the Value of Toyota's stock have also come down.

It is expected that there will be more loss to the Corp. by the next quarter also.

Also the Inflation was measured at 0.57% with was previously 7% (As of April 25,2009).

Objection to Obama's Plan: US

Obama has recently came up with his new plans regarding tax havens and regarding elimination of tax breaks for the US companies/corporates that do overseas business. 

The current law allow US companies to defer taxes without limitations on the income from overseas business. But Obama's plan will have deductions - this made bitterness for the group of Tech and other industries. The opponent group for Obama's plan argues that the change will surely make US companies difficult to compete in their Business abroad.

But Obama cited that there are loop holes in the law for the US companies that create jobs in other countries. He also mentioned that these Overseas companies are enjoying excessive rewards. The major companies like HP, Oracle Cisco are reporting their revenues mostly(more than 50%) from Overseas business.

He also has made some layouts how to get $60 million and $40 million dollars from those companies.(for more info. click here)

It seems like US president wants socialist economy in US.

These plans of Obama will make US better not their Business in Overseas. This is the right chance for the  the Other countries to compete with US giants.

Sure these plans will bring down their fame and quality which in turn make other country's companies to flourish. A nice time for Global growth and the Global market will e opened for all the corporates around the world. Also a nice season for a new giants to be created.

Indian Stock MArket - Booms high

Indian stock market continues to boom because of of the Bullish experts.

This may be the region where change is needed and change is happening.

Sensex crossed 12,100 points which is 7 months high, and Nifty crossing 3,650 points which has made India best in spite of world's heavy recession.

But this situation needs to be stable. so companies has to do something more to gain more and maintain their credential levels to keep themselves high.

Gloomy US Auto Sales

As per the US Automobiles sales report announced has shown no improvements in the sales of entire Automobile industry.

The Actual sales of the Automobiles is just with the Low and Mid range vehicles and cars, As a result there is a steep decrease of 40% in the sales of automobiles.

Major Automobile companies Chrysler and General Motors, entered Bankruptcy protection on Thursday. It was because Chrysler had 48% decline General Motors had 33% decline in sales.

Honda motors had a lesser decline of 25% which ensured its strength.

The Ford has come up stronger with the record sales of Fusion sedan, even though it had a slump of 33%.

Hyundai sales dropped just by 14% (best in US automobile industry). the main reason was sales of Accent went up 26% and Sonata by 7%.

Lets pray to God for all the bad times to be changed.
